Question 1

How does pricing work?

Accepted Answer

You get a clear flat rate before the job, based on your service, crew size, and access. No hourly clock. You know the exact number, confirmed in writing, before we start. Online card and PayPal payments carry a 4.2% digital transaction fee.

Question 2

What if the quote turns out to be wrong?

Accepted Answer

The flat rate is locked, so extra time is on us. If something genuinely changes the scope — double the boxes, a piece nobody mentioned — we give you the new number and the choice before we keep going. It never shows up for the first time on your final bill.

Question 3

Can I book without ever getting on the phone?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Fill out the form or text us photos, we text back a flat price, you confirm the date. Plenty of our clients never speak to us out loud until move day.

Question 4

Are you insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We're insured, and we issue certificates of insurance (COIs) the same day at no charge whenever your building needs one.

Question 5

Do you handle pianos, antiques, and other high-value items?

Accepted Answer

Yes — pianos, safes, marble, armoires, and framed art are regular work for us, with the right dollies, boards, and crew size. Send photos and we'll tell you exactly how each piece gets handled and what it adds.

Question 6

How far in advance should I book?

Accepted Answer

We have same-week slots most of the year. Month-end and the first weekend of each month fill 2 to 3 weeks out, so reach out early if your date is tight.

Question 7

What's your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

$100 holds your date and comes off your final bill. If we have to cancel, you get it back in full. If you cancel, the $100 hold isn't refunded. Need to reschedule? Text us as early as you can and we'll try to move your date.

Question 8

Do I need to tip?

Accepted Answer

Tips are never expected. The crew appreciates one if you think they earned it, but there's no pressure either way.

Question 9

Which areas do you serve?

Accepted Answer

DC, Maryland (Montgomery County and beyond), and Northern Virginia. If your block isn't listed on the site, text us anyway. We probably cover it.
