Local moves need a crew that answers texts fast and keeps the day on track. Most local moves get a flat rate agreed before move day; hourly is also available when the scope is still uncertain. The hourly starting rate below is not a flat-rate quote. We hold same-week slots and pad every piece of furniture before it moves. Stairs, storage facilities, freight elevators, and parking rules across the DMV are things we deal with every week.

DC loading-zone & No-Parking permits
Many DC blocks require a reserved loading zone or temporary No-Parking signs before a truck can stage. We'll confirm whether your address needs one and coordinate the timing with DDOT so move day isn't delayed by a ticket or a towed vehicle.
Same-day Certificates of Insurance
Condos and high-rises across DC, Arlington, Bethesda, and Tysons want a COI — often with additional-insured language — before the truck can pull up. We issue them same-day at no charge and add the language your building requires.
Freight-elevator & move-in reservations
We book the freight elevator and the building's move-in/move-out window at both ends so the crew isn't waiting in a lobby. Tell us your management contact and we'll handle the reservation and the paperwork.

Your flat quote is written down before we lift a box. If we misjudge the job, we eat the difference instead of renegotiating with you in a hallway.
On time, or $50 comes off your bill
We arrive inside your window ready to work. If we're more than 30 minutes late and haven't called you first, $50 comes off the total. You don't have to ask.
Insured and building-ready
Our crews are fully insured and we issue your building's certificate of insurance the same day, free, so paperwork never pushes your date.
If something breaks, we sort it out in writing
Everything gets padded and wrapped. If something gets damaged, file a claim in your portal with photos and we'll resolve it with you in writing.

Moving questions, answered
Do you offer flat-rate or hourly?
Both. A flat rate is one agreed price for the quoted move, rather than a charge based on how long it takes. Hourly pricing is based on time and works when the scope is still uncertain. The 2-mover starting rate of $155/hr applies to the hourly option, not a flat-rate move. Send us your move details so we can quote the right option.
How far in advance should I book?
We hold same-week slots most of the year. Month-end and the first weekend of each month fill 2 to 3 weeks out.
Are you insured?
We're insured, with general liability coverage. Certificates of insurance sent to your building on request, usually same day.
Do you handle DC moving permits and loading zones?

Can you move into a high-rise with a freight elevator?
Yes. We coordinate freight-elevator reservations and issue same-day COIs for buildings across DC, Arlington, Bethesda, Silver Spring, and Tysons. Send your building's management contact and we'll handle the paperwork.
Can you handle storage units and multi-stop moves?
Yes. We can organize and load a storage unit, deliver part of the load to another home or apartment, and plan multiple pickup or drop-off stops. Tell us every address, stairway, and elevator in your quote request so we can build the right crew, truck, and flat rate.
