Small Movers & Studio Moves questions, answered
Do you have a minimum for small moves?
No 3- or 4-hour minimums. If your move is 90 minutes on the truck, that's what you pay for. Flat rates are the norm; hourly is capped honestly.
Can two movers handle a studio?
Almost always. If your piece list has anything heavy (piano, safe, sleeper sofa) we'll flag it in the quote and adjust crew size.
How fast can you move a studio?
Most studios load and unload in 2–3 hours door to door within the DMV.
Are stairs, elevators, and DMV traffic included in the quote?
Yes, when they are included in the details you send us. We price known stairs, elevator waits, parking, and drive time into the written flat rate instead of adding surprise access fees afterward.
How much does a small move cost in the DMV?
Most studio and one-item moves inside DC, Montgomery County, or Arlington land between $195 and $495 flat. Distance, stairs, and piece count set the number, and you see it in writing before you book.
Will you move just one item, like a couch or a bed?
Yes. Single-item pickups and deliveries are a normal day for us. A sofa from a Navy Yard high-rise to a Petworth row house, or a mattress out of a Silver Spring walk-up.
Can you do a same-week or next-day small move?
Usually. Small loads slot into partial days, so same-week is common and next-day is often possible outside the end-of-month rush.
