Piano Movers

Pianos take specialized dollies, padding, and a crew that knows how to angle them through DC row-house doorways and Bethesda basement stairs. We move uprights, spinets, consoles, and baby grands with the right gear and the right hands — flat-rate, insured, and text-first from booking to drop-off.

What it costs.

Our promise

What you can count on.

Every job comes with the same four promises, so you know what you're getting before we knock.

Nothing to negotiate on the day

You know the full price before we lift a box. If stairs or tight access affect the job, we flag it while quoting — never after we've started.

On time, or we make it right

We show up inside your window ready to work. On the rare day we run late, you hear it from us first — not from an empty driveway.

Licensed & insured

Fully insured crews, with same-day COIs at no charge when your building asks for one.

Careful with your stuff

We pad and wrap your things and treat your floors, neighbors, and elevator like they're our own.

FAQ

Piano Movers questions, answered

How much does it cost to move a piano in DC?

Uprights typically run $350–$550 depending on stairs and access. Baby grands run $600–$1,200 with disassembly. You get a flat quote before we book — no per-pound reweighs.

Do you tune the piano after the move?

We don't tune. We recommend waiting 2–4 weeks after the move (so the piano acclimates to the new room) and can refer local DMV tuners.

Can you get a piano up a flight of stairs?

Yes — stairs, tight landings, and walk-ups are routine. Send a photo of the path when you quote so we send the right crew size.
