Do you tip movers, and how much?
Short answer
Tipping movers is optional and never expected, but it's common in the DMV. Most customers tip $20–$40 per mover for a half-day job and $40–$80 per mover for a full day, or roughly 10–15% of the total for exceptional work. When tipping makes the most sense
Crews notice the hard jobs: a fourth-floor walk-up in August, a piano down a tight stairwell, or a same-day scramble after a closing moved. If the crew solved a problem for you, that's the moment a tip lands.

No. The flat rate covers the crew, truck, and materials. Tips are entirely separate and entirely optional.
Can I tip after the job?
Yes. When you pay your balance in the customer portal you'll see a tip option, and you can add one later from the same job record.
